I Feel Better

Yesterday, Uma Thurman (she of Kill Bill and sometimes-pretty-sometimes-wonky fame) announced her new-ish baby's name. She herself was born Uma Karuna Thurman, which perhaps should have been our first clue but mostly just makes me think of this:

She gave birth this summer, and I guess we all did not realize we were going about our lives without knowing The Name.

Well, this makes up for lost time.

The baby's name is Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson. She shall be called "Luna."

And here we were, fretting over baby names, trying to find that proper balance between uncommon and bizarre. Worried that, if we stuck to family names, the baby might end up with a mouthful of a moniker.

I'm not so worried anymore. As far as I know, there's nary an Arkadina on either side of the family.
