Iced In

The 7+" of forecasted snow turned into a half-inch of ice, so we have all the hassle and treachery without any of the fun. 

We made it through the night--only real concern remains icy limbs and power lines--and are snuggling up for another day. 

Some reports say main roads are ok, but our hill looks like solid ice and got worse overnight, so we haven't ventured out to see for ourselves. 

Looks like snow...isn't. 

We have movies and toys, and the family is being generally tolerant of me inventing creative meals, so we're good (and warm). 

Not really excited to Pioneer for, like, days, though. Stay tuned.
